Understanding Stripe fees and payouts

Your guests pay into your own Stripe account. We take no commission, but Stripe charges for its service, and those fees are yours.

What Stripe charges

Fees depend on the card type and the country that issued it; the current rates are published on Stripe's own site, which is the only exact source. Two things people miss: a refund does not give you back the fees already charged, and a payment dispute carries a fixed fee even if you win.

When the money arrives

Stripe pays out on the schedule you set in your Stripe dashboard. The first payout takes longer than the rest — about a week, for verification.

The advice that prevents disputes

Check the label that appears on your guests' bank statements: it should carry the name of your property, not your surname.
