Putting your website online

Your website stays private until you decide to publish it. Nobody can see it, even with the address.
What is required first
Five steps: the introduction, the property description, at least three photos, your rates and your conditions. Two more are advised: at least one external calendar, and Stripe. Without Stripe the site works but offers a booking request instead of immediate payment.
Just after, in this order
Test a full booking from your phone, paying a small amount you then refund: it is the only way to see what a traveller sees. Create or update your Google profile with the website address. Add the address to your listings where allowed, to your e-mail signature and to your welcome documents. Tell your past guests — they are the ones who book direct first.
Going back
You can make the site private again at any time. Bookings already received stay valid and visible in your dashboard.
