Photos decide the booking before the text is read. Two well-spent hours on a bright morning beat an expensive camera.
Before you shoot
Tidy as if for an arrival, open the shutters, and switch the lamps on even in daylight — that is what makes an interior look warm. Remove what belongs to you rather than to the guest.
Light
Mid-morning or late afternoon, never midday sun. Stand in a corner of the room, camera at chest height rather than eye level.
Which photos, in which order
The first image decides everything — usually the exterior or the living room. Then living room, kitchen, every bedroom, every bathroom, outside, and the view. Do not leave out the small bathroom: a missing photo worries a guest more than an average one.
